Complex reprocessing of industrial alkaline waste of alumina production (red mud) for solving raw materials and environmental problems

چکیده
Red mud are industrial large-scale toxic wastes of bauxite ore processing according to the Bayer method. They contain macrocomponents such as iron, aluminum, calcium, silicon, well a number most valuable and critical metals (microcomponents): scandium, gallium, germanium rare earth elements (REEs), which used in modern high-tech industry. Due relatively high content scandium REEs, red can be considered promising secondary source. Significant amounts accumulated new flows this waste entering slime storage facilities need processed obtaine required products. Development complex reprocessing approach play an important role addressing problem elimination waste. Within framework subject, report considers concept Bogoslovsky Aluminum Plant (Russia) mud, includes extraction zirconium production iron-containing concentrate for ferrous metallurgy. The use low-aggressive carbonate media carbonation method using carbon dioxide gas characterizes more environmentally technologically safe. development effective technology utilization will not only provide source raw materials, but also solve global environmental problem.
